Warranty

All goods are tested before sending.

Our connection work on EL wires is carried out by very experienced technicians therefore we are happy to guarantee this work for 21 days. Should the connection fail within this period we will be happy to receive back the wire and carry out a repair or replacement.

If however, upon inspection, the connection is intact but the fault is further along the wire this will be deemed due to mis-handling and therefore we would not be liable. In these instances we can offer a service of trimming off at the fault point and salvaging the intact wire.

In the case that you order the raw product and do the connections yourself, we cannot be held liable for faults or damage.

The wire has to be handled carefully. If you were not sent handling instructions, please ask for them before you use the wire.

Our inverters and adaptors are tested before sending. In the rare circumstance that an inverter fails you can return it, we will check it and if it is deemed that the fault is not due to mis-handling we will replace it.

Please note that the most likely cause of inverter failure is the inverter being left powered on without the EL attached. The second most likely cause is the inverter being left in direct sunlight or an area of intense heat. We cannot be held liable in these circumstances therefore please read all the handling instructions to avoid any disappointment.

We cannot be held liable for failure caused by weak or incorrect batteries or power adaptors.

If you incorporate our products into sculptures/visual items for an event and they fail, we cannot be held liable for any potential losses relating to that failure.

Therefore, it is highly recommended that you understand how to handle the goods and test them thoroughly well in advance of your event.

If a fault is deemed the responsibility of Elec2go, we will repair or replace the defective component and pay replacement-shipping cost to the customer. Shipping to Elec2go is the customer’s responsibility, however costs or reimbursements to the customer will happen if after the device has been received and is tested faulty by reasons not contained in the warranty-voiding list below and the shipment method is pre-arranged. Elec2go will not pay for next day, second day or similar shipping methods or use of any shipping agent other than Australia Post. The customer must insure the package to cover 100% replacement cost. Elec2go will not be responsible for lost shipments.

International customers (outside Australia)

The complete kit is covered by a 30-day warranty. The 30 days starts from the time the shipment is received. 37 days will be given from the ship time for packages that are shipped in a way that is not track able.

Elec2go will repair or replace defective component(s). Shipping to Elec2go is the customer’s responsibility. The customer must insure the package to cover 100% replacement cost. Elec2go will not be responsible for lost shipments. Depending on the customer’s location Elec2go may reimburse or credit the customers shipping costs. This is hard to guarantee due to the fact that shipping costs can exceed the value of the part or entire kit. Elec2go will work with the customer to help with any problems.

The warranty on any of our products is void if any of the following applies.

Ø Removing the lamination sheet on panels

Ø Trimming and or damage to the lamination sheet.

Ø Trying to or removing the cable or damage to the hot seal protecting the cable to EL sheet connection.

Ø Cutting the EL connection cable shorter than 2 inches.

Ø Bending the EL sheet causing a crease. Or (in the case of A4 EL panel) tighter than a 4” (100 mm) radius.

Ø Running the Inverter at any voltage above the stated maximum listed in this document.

Ø Running inverter without any EL application connected.

Ø Using a power board or unregulated wall adapter.

Ø Power surges.
