El wire night fishing
This nifty devise is a simple 1.5m EL cable powered by a small battery pack inverter (2 x AAA or 2xAA depending on availability) that you can clip around the handle. The cable can be fixed to your rod permanently or you could simply remove it after a good night and wrap it around your bucket so your other half doesn't spill a dawn cup of coffee on your hard earned catch!!
If used correctly it will keep going for years and even cheap batteries will easily get you from dusk to dawn.
